Year 7 Students Enjoy Unforgettable French Adventure During Enrichment Week 2026
Posted on: 27/07/2026Eighty Year 7 students spent the final week of term on an exciting trip to Le Château de Warsy in France as part of Barton Court’s Enrichment (Personal Development) Week.
Staying in eco pods within a peaceful rural setting, students enjoyed a packed programme of activities and visits that provided a wonderful opportunity to experience French culture, history and cuisine first-hand.
Throughout the week, students explored the historic town of Amiens and its magnificent cathedral, visited a traditional chocolate factory, enjoyed thrills and excitement at Parc Astérix Theme Park, and reflected on the significant events of the First World War during a visit to the Battlefields of the Somme.
The trip offered a perfect balance of learning and fun, allowing students to develop their independence, broaden their cultural understanding and create lasting memories with their peers.
A fantastic time was had by everyone and the experience proved to be a real highlight of the school year.
