Students Achieve Outstanding A Level and BTEC Results in 2026
Posted on: 13/08/2026Students at Barton Court Grammar School received their Year 13 A Level and BTEC results on Thursday 13 August and deserve huge credit for the success they have achieved.
Headteacher Jonathan Hopkins commented:
“We are delighted that so many of our students have achieved grades that are enabling them to progress to university or secure high-quality employment opportunities. It seems like an increasingly distant memory that their time in KS3 was disrupted by the pandemic. As a year group our Year 13 students were good humoured, talented and hard-working.
We are pleased that, yet again, well over half of our Year 13 results were at A* – B level and this year 62% of A Level outcomes were A* – B grades. The percentage of students who attained an A*-B grade has risen for four years in a row. Overall, the pass rate for A Level and BTEC outcomes was 99%, and 87% of all grades were at A* – C or D/D*; both of which show the breadth of success our students achieved.
Particular mention must be to just under 10% of the cohort who have been awarded three or more A/A* or D* grades in their subjects. Significantly, 83 students got at least one A/A* or Distinction* grade and 108 students got at least one B grade or better.”
