Barton Court Students Shine in National Watercolour Competition
Posted on: 29/01/2026Four students from Barton Court Grammar School have been recognised in the prestigious Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) Coronation Award, a UK wide competition celebrating exceptional young artists aged 11–18.
The annual competition, organised by the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, highlights excellence in water based media. Entries are judged by three distinguished RI Members, with selected artworks showcased in an online exhibition viewed nationally.
This year, Barton Court is proud to announce that four students had their work shortlisted, earning a place in the exhibition. Among them, Libby and Violet were awarded Merits for the outstanding quality of their pieces.
