Barton Court Sixth Former is Finalist in Canterbury Music Competition

Congratulations to Euan (Year 12) who this week was a finalist in the Canterbury Festival Young Musician Bursary Competition. Euan and six other young musicians were chosen from an extensive pool earlier in the year and then on Tuesday 28 October got the chance to perform in the Colyer-Fergusson Hall at the University of Kent.

The performance standard was extremely high and Euan played his acoustic guitar flawlessly, showcasing his own composition as well as individual interpretations of pieces by Tommy Emmanuel and Arthur Smith.

Euan also spoke eloquently about his choice of repertoire and about his musicianship in general, to a very appreciative audience.

Well done Euan!
