Flying Success for Sixth Form Student

One of our Sixth Form students, Oscar in Year 12, has recently attended The Air League’s Scholarship Awards Reception which took place at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London. The event was a celebration of achievements for all 2025 Scholars, their families and training partners.

Founded in 1909, The Air League is the UK’s leading aviation, aerospace and space charity. It focuses on breaking down the barriers into these industries through its scholarships and outreach programmes.

Oscar successfully completed the 2025 Scholarship Programme; he was only one of 120 scholars to have been selected to join it out of circa 2000 applicants. He was presented with his certificate at the Awards Reception on 30 October. Well done Oscar.

As Oscar’s ambition is to become a commercial airline pilot, he hopes that he will be selected for the 2026 Programme!
