Barton Court Student Maya Wins Prestigious Young Artist Award

We are delighted to announce that Maya has been awarded the highly respected Young Artist Award, a bi-annual competition open to young creatives aged up to 25 years old across the South East of England.

The award aims to provide emerging artists with both recognition and opportunity, offering winners the chance to exhibit their work in the temporary galleries of the County Town’s Museum – an invaluable platform for those beginning their artistic careers. This year’s theme was ‘Place’.

Maya’s outstanding response to the theme impressed the judges and earned her not only the title of Young Artist Award Winner, but also a £150 prize.

In addition, Maya has been offered a bursary from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) to support the costs of her studies should she choose to continue her artistic journey there.

This is an exceptional achievement, and we are incredibly proud of Maya’s creativity, dedication and artistic vision. Her success is an inspiration to all aspiring young artists within our community.
