Barton Court Wins Inaugural Trust Eco Challenge
Posted on: 09/07/2025Barton Manor School was proud to host the very first Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) Eco Challenge, a landmark event bringing together all three schools within the Trust – Barton Manor School, Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) and The Charles Dickens School – on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
The day was dedicated to celebrating our collective environmental achievements over the past year and engaging in a biodiversity-themed challenge in which students from across the Trust worked together, shared ideas, and demonstrated their commitment to sustainability and climate change mitigation.
This pioneering event marked a significant milestone for all three schools in the Trust, who were all proudly awarded the prestigious Green Flag, showcasing the power of partnership and student voice in driving positive environmental change.
Congratulations to BCGS who won the event, but the other two schools were close behind and everyone represented themselves extremely well.
Ms Cardus, BCAT CEO / Executive Headteacher, commented: “this is the first time we have had all three schools represented at a joint event, and working together and being so passionate about climate action”.
