Self Employed Counsellor Required
OUR SCHOOL
The BCAT Trust consists of 3 schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years co-educational grammar school in the heart of Canterbury; The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years co-educational non-selective school in Broadstairs and opening in 2022 a Free School, Barton Manor School, an 11-18 years co-educational non-selective school co-sited with Barton Court Grammar School.
THE POST
Barton Court Grammar School is looking to work with a self-employed Counsellor to assist students with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
As an adolescent counsellor, you will need to meet with our students on a regular basis to help provide assessment and guidance working alongside other staff and professionals in planning how best to help.
You will need substantial experience of working with children and adolescents in a counselling environment covering issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, phobias, aggression, self-harm and eating disorders, .
A minimum of two years’ experience of working with secondary school students is required and you will be registered with a recognised professional body such as UKCP or BACP.
