A Fairytale Triumph: Once Upon a Mattress Delights Audiences
Posted on: 13/07/2026Well, that’s a wrap! Our recent production of Once Upon a Mattress was a resounding success, delighting audiences with its wit, warmth and wonderful music. From scene-stealing comedy to heartfelt performances, the cast and creative team brought this classic fairytale to vibrant life. The production was met with fantastic audience response and showcased the talent, energy and creativity of everyone involved.
The production gave opportunities to students from every year group and it was fantastic to welcome back some former students who were keen to support, either backstage or within the pit band (and in the audience!). Our thanks go to Miss Postgate (Director) and Ms Fenn (Musical Director), supported by Mr Forsyth (Front of House), Mrs Cottrell, Miss Ruston and Mr Riggs (Set Design/Props). Special mention should also go to the back stage team (led by Ewan, Addison and Emelia) and our technical crew (Sound – Joe from IMP and Jamie, Lighting – Oscar and Amelia). We would also like to thank Canterbury Hobgoblin for their loan of a ‘lute’.
