BCGS Students Celebrate their A Level & BTEC Results
Posted on: 14/08/2025Students at Barton Court received their Year 13 A Level and BTEC results on Thursday 14 August and deserve huge credit for the success they have achieved. Headteacher Jonathan Hopkins commented:
“We are delighted that so many of our students have achieved grades that are enabling them to progress to university or secure high-quality employment opportunities. As a year group our Year 13 students were good humoured, talented and hard-working. We are pleased that yet again well over half of the Year 13 outcomes for the cohort were at A* – B level and this year 60% of A Level outcomes were A* – B grades. For your information, this is notably higher than the pre-pandemic average of 54% (2017 – 19). The overall pass rate for A Level and BTEC outcomes was 99%, and 85% of all grades were at A* – C or D/D*; both of which show the breadth of success our students achieved.
Particular mention must be to just under 10% of the cohort who have been awarded three or more A/A* or D* grades in their subjects. In addition, 65% of grades were either grades A* – B or Distinction*. Significantly, 63 students got at least one A/A* or Distinction* grade and 105 students got at least one B grade or better.”
Clearly, so many students have much to be pleased with! Next Thursday our attention will turn to Year 11, but today is important to recognise the achievements of our Year 13 students.
