Swattenden 2009
Once again Barton Court IB Diploma course started with a BANG as all new Year 12s were taken to the Swattenden Activity Centre for three days and two nights for a jam-packed series of team and IB ethos building.
For the second year running the whole cohort was split into two groups as so many students are now enrolled in Year 12 (140). This worked very well, and the groups swapped at the end of the Swattenden Experience. The group at School learnt the basics of the IB Diploma CORE of CAS, ToK and Extended Essay as well as further team development skills, including a session at the local Army Barracks.
Here are some photos from Swattenden showing some of the sorts of activities undertaken.
