The Post
For 1 September 2017 or as soon as possible, the Governors wish to appoint a highly qualified Learning Mentor/Cover Supervisor to provide a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff within the School, addressing the needs of students, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning and enabling them to achieve their full potential thereby raising standards of achievement and aspirations.
Candidates should already be a trained Learning Mentor or be willing to undertake the appropriate training and have experience of working closely with children for at least 2 years. Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, safety, security and confidentiality are required.
This post is ideal for a qualified teacher or a person seeking a career as a teacher in the longer term and is term time only plus one Staff Development Day.
Hours of work are 8.00am-4.00pm Mon-Thu and 8.00am-3.30pm Fri with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
