Temporary Part Time Cleaner - 22.5 hours per week - £9.35 per hour
OUR SCHOOL
The BCAT Trust consists of 3 schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years co-educational grammar school in the heart of Canterbury; The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years co-educational non-selective school in Broadstairs and opening in 2022 a Free School, Barton Manor School, an 11-18 years co-educational non-selective school co-sited with Barton Court Grammar School.
THE POST
A temporary daytime cleaner is required to start on 1 September 2020 working 9.45am-2.15pm daily, term time only to provide a cleaning service throughout the day to maintain our high standards and reduce the risk of any possible transmission of Covid-19 via touch surfaces.
You should be punctual, hardworking and reliable and experienced in the use of domestic cleaning materials and equipment in line with Health & Safety Regulations (COSHH). Duties will include constant cleaning of touch surfaces, cleaning of school equipment, the collection and disposal of waste, refilling & replacing soap, towels, wipes, sprays and cloths. You may also be required to undertake specialised cleaning programmes during school closures or designated periods.
A knowledge of safeguarding procedures is desirable although full training will be provided.
This role is temporary for two months, but may be extended according to the needs of the School.
